KWAGGAWERK
The Kwaggawerk Art Orchestra is a polyphonic rendezvous of brass and drums. The musicians play not only timpani and trumpets but also snare drums and the “Dicker Trumm.” It quickly becomes clear: this is a real treat for the ears.
This multi-instrumental ensemble clatters solidly, rattles bizarrely, and simply sounds wonderful. Built on a powerfully driving rhythm, a unique sound with a slightly off-kilter edge blossoms. This is entirely intentional and that’s exactly how it should be. It enchants, unsettles, and yet tempts you to dance.
Kwaggawerk has a broad repertoire. They don’t just play catchy tunes from pop and rock. The collective also delves into modern classical music and - rightfully - completely unknown film scores. That’s what makes every concert unique. Nothing is safe from Kwaggawerk. Kwaggawerk transforms and is highly addictive. In short: exhilarating chaos. KRASS – BRASS – SPASS – And in the end, everything turns out just fine.

Kwaggawerk will kick things off, followed by the Klarmann Brass Band, Kapelle Schmitz, the Because Choir Cologne, and Kwaggawerk will close out the evening.

Backyard-Folk from Köln
The Schmitz Band is known for their handmade backyard folk with German lyrics full of wit, charm, and a playful social edge. With guitar, accordion, tuba, trumpet, cajón, bass, and vocals, they create a distinctive acoustic sound that blends street music, pub folk, and dance band styles.
The Cologne-based band has built a loyal fan base with their rousing performances at pub concerts. Their songs invite you to sing along, dance, and laugh—sometimes humorous, sometimes thought-provoking, but always connecting with the audience.
A concert with Kapelle Schmitz is an evening full of joie de vivre, great music, and a fantastic atmosphere.

Rock & Pop
Under the direction of Mariano Galussio, the well-known rock and pop choir gets the audience dancing. Six-part arrangements give songs by Linkin Park, Harry Styles, Kate Bush, Green Day, Talking Heads, The Killers, Rage Against the Machine, Billy Talent, Amy Winehouse, and other artists a surprisingly powerful, rousing sound.
